Peter Guerny's Baptism

Peter's baptism is one of the many we have been blessed to attend. He is First Nation and was taught by the two sister missionaries - Sister Duong and Sister Wight. Peter has been into the Employment Center a few times for help with a job. It is great to see him get baptised and grow in the gospel.

P-Day Golf!!!

On our p-day we went golfing with Olivers. Sister Oliver and I drove the cart while Elder Oliver and Dad played. I can't believe I did this. Dad almost made a hole-in one! He was so proud. Pretty good for only playing twice in over a year!

Crawford's farewell

Elder and Sister Crawford left to go home the last part of May. They have worked in the Employment Center once a week and have really helped us. This is their Farewell picnic at Bear Creek Park . We will miss them dearly.

Our Special Family

Wedding!!!

Way to go Craig & Roxy! We proud you chose to be married in the temple - the new Draper Temple no less. It was so special to see all of my kids in the sealing room. We also met Roxy's family. It was good to get to know them. Craig and Roxy have now started a forever family. I am thankful to be a small part of it.

Blaine Baldwin

Blaine died April 30,2009. He is affectionately called Grandpa by all the family. Since Carl and I were not able to go to the funeral, the family took us to see his grave. I bet he is glad to see his parents and his brother again.

We love you Grandpa but will see you again!

Tulip Festival

We went with Olivers to the Tulip Festival in Mt. Vernon. There were Tulips EVERYWHERE! The Tulip Gardens were beautiful and the fields were spectacular! It was our P-Day. Although it was windy and a little rainy we had a lot of fun. We even got our husbands to go through the small boutiques in La Conner - 10 minutes away. Wow! For lunch we ate at a small fish and chips restaurant. Very good.

FHE fun

The senior couples get together on Monday nights for FHE. We have a dinner then a lesson. It is my turn to teach the lesson this week so I tried to get Dad to do the dinner. I don't seem to be making much progress. We have been holding it in the Employment Center because our apartments are not big enough. We have had a couple extra people who were still working on the computers.

Missionaries!!!

We have missionaries help us on Mondays - Elder and Sister Crawford. They have been such a help and so special. They will go home in May and will be missed greatly.

The missionaries' P Day is on Mondays. They come into the center on Mondays to write their families on the computers. It sure is fun being around such energetic kids again. We do miss our family. Can you tell which missionary reminds me of someone we know and love?

New Years Day

New Years Day was spent with the Oliver's. We went Eagle watching. Up to 4000 eagles have been seen in the area. We saw 60+. It was great! My camera does not zoom as far as we would like to. Enjoy!

Let it Snow and snow and snow....

The Vancouver area is not used to much snow. It usually snows a couple of times but rain melts it by nighttime. The temperatures are usually pretty mild for here - especially not below freezing. We measured 21 inched on our balcony!

Victorian Christmas

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were spent in Victoria with another senior couple - the Oliver's. We went to see the lights at Bushart Gardens.
They reminded me of the lights at Temple Square only not as good. We had a great time but fogot everything would be closed on Christmas Day.
We ended up talking and driving around to see the area.

The Real Meaning of Christmas

Being on a misson gives me more time to think of the Savior and the things he has done for me. I thank him daily for a special husband and family. Being able to serve others all day and night gives me a little taste of what he has done for us. I am thankful for the atonement and fthe opportunity I have for repentance. I thank him for the chance of being a "forever family".

It's Christmas Time in the City

Our tree this year was pretty spectacular. It had the best ornaments ever! I couldn't put many gifts around the tree - just the important ones. Thank You Kids!

Red Sky at Night!!

The sky looks as if it were on fire!! We took the picture as we drove home from Chilliwak, BC. As Craig says "Awesome!!"

New Temple Pictures

The latest pictures as of Dec. 15, 2008. Scarey Fog!!! Progress has been slower than wanted because of all of the snow and the holdidays.
