Sights on the way.
Water surrounds Victoria since it is on an island. The people on Victoria don't go to the mainland very often. It costs $25 for a round trip for one person. If you take a car it is $100+ the passengers. Wow! Here are a few sights that we saw leaving Victoria.
Victoria
Dad and went to Victoria this weekend to train a new High Councillor over employment in his Stake. We rode the ferrie over to Victoria and back. The ferrie taking us over to the island was spectacular! It had a buffet, lounge and soft seats eveywhere to make one comfortable. It also had places to carry cars over to the island. The ferrie coming back wasn't nearly as nice. However, it had a buffet and places for the cars and most importantly, we made it back!
Temple news
The temple has really made progress. The members here are so excited. They will not have to take a whole day to go to the temple (Seattle) as soon as it is done. They are so faithful. The wards schedule a trip every month and usually go on a bus. It makes me think of my temple attendance and how I could be better. We have a temple 10 minutes away!

We made it to Canada!
The MTC was a great experience. We met many good people there. Most of them were going to employment centers located all over the world.
After a tearful goodbye, we headed to Canada. The trip was uneventful until we reached the border. There were long lines of cars and a long line at customs which was inside. Of course, we got to go to both. We received many interesting questions. The custom officer wanted to know why someone from Canada couldn't do the same thing that we were going to do. Dad told them "they probably could" but we had been called to come. It was hard for him to understand why we were coming to Canada to do humaniarian service without pay and using our own money to do it!
It is beautiful here. There are so many trees, bushes and flowers. Some of the parks are all forest but have various hidden treasures inside. One of those parks is right across the street from where we live. We have been there walking and found a lake! Can you find Dad?
We went to the templev site. It is about 10 miles away. I thought that you might like to see the progress that has been made. I'll keep posting pictures to let you see how things are going. Another missionary couple live right on the temple grounds and is overseeing the building. They even let us come in for a "peek". It's great to be a missionary!
